George Lonergan worked on his
first construction project with his father at the age of 12.
Together, they did all the renovations around the house, including
the kitchen, bathroom, and basement. George learned the intricacies
of construction at a very early age, and his mother was thrilled
with the results.
George followed in his father's footsteps
in other ways as well, earning a degree in criminal justice
and accepting a Massachusetts State Police Commission. His father's
Boston Police badge is the foundation of Lonergan Construction's
logo. George is proud of their years of service and of carrying
on his father's legacy of quality workmanship and conscientious
attention to detail.
Once George retired from the force,
he took on his own construction projects again at home. The
addition he built with his own sons attracted rave reviews from
friends and neighbors, and soon people were asking him if he
could manage their construction projects. As this enterprise
developed, George found he needed to build a team to get all
the work done, and Lonergan Construction was born.
